Our Services
Rescue
Florida Rat Rescuers Network has always put active rescue operations at the forefront of our mission. As a whole, we have driven across the state to jump into action where needed most. To date we’ve had teams and individuals assist in dozens of direct rescues to remove rats from unsafe or emergency conditions.
Placement
Our main goal is to get rats into safe and permanent homes. With the help of a network of willing volunteers and fosters, we rehome animals to qualified adopters through our careful screening process. We also assist the community with needs to rehome their own pets safely. Any rats that cannot be rehabilitated or rehomed stay with our Sanctuary Fosters, to live out their lives in a place with quality care and medical attention.
Protection
We aim to educate the public on the plight of rescue rats and the need for the protections afforded to other domestic pets. A long term goal is implementing outreach and education programs to regularly promote goodwill towards domestic rat pets, fight for welfare causes, and further good husbandry practices for exotic pet owners.
